Student Diversity and Inclusion

Student Diversity and Inclusion

The Office of Student Diversity and Inclusion strives to interweave multicultural education into the experiences of our campus community, ensuring that BSC students acquire the necessary skills to function in an increasingly diverse society. We develop intentional experiences with direction and support from the student-led Cross-Cultural Committee and other groups.

Recent activities include: student trips to the National Memorial for Peace and Justice in Montgomery, the Black Students LEAD Conference in Atlanta, the Diwali Festival, the annual Women’s History Brunch and campus participation in the 21-Day Racial Equity and Social Justice Challenge partnering with the YWCA Central Alabama.

By getting involved with the Office of Student Diversity and Inclusion, you can:

  • Take educational and recreational trips locally and/or regionally;
  • Plan and participate in cultural events on and off campus;
  • Experience authentic international foods from across the globe;
  • Share your own culture and experience others;
  • Get to know students, faculty, staff, and community members from a variety of backgrounds; and
  • Share your own talents and gifts with the community.
